North Eaton Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Youth will be holding their annual Christmas Cookie Sale on Saturday, December 6, 2008 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Homemade Christmas cookies will be sold for $7.00 a pound. The money raised will help cover the cost of the High School Youth’s Mission Trip in June, 2009 and the Jr. High youth’s support of the Cleveland Christian Home in Cleveland.

The North Eaton Christian Church High School youth will be selling Christmas Cookies on Saturday, December 6, 2008 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to help raise money for their week long Mission Trip to Lexington, NC June 13-21, 2009. Cookies are $7 per pound. It cost each youth $429 to participate in the Mission Trip. They will have to sell a lot of cookies!

Mighty Goliath Productions will be holding auditions for their 50th Anniversary show, "Ragtime, the Musical". MGP is an volunteer adult musical theatre company that supports the performing arts groups at ALHS. Teenagers are welcome. Children 12 & under must have an adult with them on stage. Fields United Methodist Church is hosting the 22nd annual Search For The Christ Child Saturday and Sunday December 6 and 7 from 5:30 to 8:00 pm at the church, 34077 Lorain Road, North Ridgeville, Ohio. The Search is a live in-door presentation of the First Christmas story, and tours will run continuously during those times. Come anytime between 5:30p and 8p to experience what it may have been like on that first Christmas so long ago in Bethlehem on the eve of Christ’s birth. Admission is free. Donations of non-perishable food items and money brought to the manger will be distributed to North Ridgeville Community Care. This year’s SEARCH is also part of the North Ridgeville Visitors Bureau HOLIDAY ON THE RIDGE program Saturday, December 6. This is the 22nf year and 21st anniversary of SEARCH at Fields UM Church.

Celebrate Christmas at North Ridgeville’s 8th Annual Holiday on the Ridge festivities on Saturday, December 6 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Businesses and special events along with five craft shows welcome you to the city. The event culminates with the city’s tree lighting and caroling, a live re-enactment of the First Christmas Story and a theatrical performance of Scrooge.

Produced by the North Ridgeville Visitors Bureau, many businesses will have
special discounts, give-a-ways and drawings. Kick off the day at the Kiwanis pancake
breakfast at the high school. Take time for the many craft shows filled with handcrafted
treasures.

The participating business locations are Don Mould’s Plant Outlet, Center Ridge Health Campus (10 am -2pm.), Simply Country Charm – A Country Store, Cat’s Meow
Antiques, Buescher’s Hardware, LeHoty’s Hallmark, D’Nora’s Art Studio and Blue Barn Shops. The businesses will be open from 9 am – 5 pm.

Throughout the day, warm up with a cup of hot chocolate and cookies and see special holiday offerings, including harpist Cecilia Ilg McKay in the afternoon at the North Ridgeville Library. The craft shows are from 9 am – 4 pm and include St. Peter’s Christmas Craft Bazaar, First Congregational Christmas Craft Fair, Church of God Holly Days, Senior Center Craft Fair and Sugar Ridge Baptist Church Craft Show. Visit with Santa at the Community Cabin in South Central Park from 3-4:45 pm. and 5:30-7 pm. Join the annual caroling and official tree lighting in the park at 5:00 pm.

From 5:30 – 8 pm. at Field’s United Methodist Church plan to attend the

Join us this early December at Mill Hollow’s Benjamin Bacon Museum for an Old Fashioned Holiday Celebration. Enjoy a 20-minute tour through the museum with a cast of re-enactors as they step back in time to 1864. Learn about this area’s unique and historical past while enjoying the real sights, fragrances, and sounds of an old-fashioned holiday.
